ARTrageous is Whistler's original arts party, and a one-night stand for artists, art lovers and art class renegades. This annually sold-out event is an eclectic fusion of visual art, live bands, D.J's, costume, creation stations, photo studio experiments, dancing and of course drinks. NOW ACCEPTING ARTIST ENTRIES! This year, ARTrageous is going 50's! The theme is officially titled 'The Good Old Days'. Dusty's will be transformed into a 1950’s sodapop shop, with a good dose of Rock 'n' Roll thrown in!
Artwork can reflect the overall theme of the 1950’s or the art movement from that era, or you can create work based completely on your own interpretation of The Good Old Days. What were the “Good Old Days” for you? Think of your old childhood memories, reference old photographs, posters and ads or relate your work to “the good old days” from any era. Artwork can be anything from portraiture and landscape to pop art, contemporary, street art or even art installations and sculptures. Artists are encouraged to submit new artwork created for Whistler’s biggest art party of the year!
